Florence and the Machine's genre of music is: indie, indie pop, indie rock, art rock, soul, baroque pop and finally experimental. We would like our artist to be unqiue, alternative and quirky. As the band's main genre is indie, we are going to research indie artists and listen to their music, what their videos and see what the similair conventions are, and also what are some ways artists change and challenge conventions. This is because as a group we want to see what works well and what doesn't work that good, and learn from this mistakes artists have made in the past.
Some indie artists which are within our chosen artist: Diana Vickers, The Ting Tings, La Roux, Marina and the Diamonds, Imogen Heap, Kate Nash, Ellie Goulding, Ladyhawke and finally, The Bird and The Bee.
