Indie music is a genre of alternative rock that came about in the United Kingdom/United States in the year 1980. Indie is very diverse, with sub genres that includes post-rock, indie pop, dream pop sadcore and lo-fi along side with many other various types of music. This was originally used to describe record labels.
From the screen shot above you can see that Noel Gallagher's album 'High flying birds' is number two. This shows that our genre does well in the charts. We believe that Noel Gallagher fits in with our music genre because he is an alternative artist and this is the image that we are trying to create.
This is a picture of Noel, as you see his image even fits our genre as he is performing with an acoustic guitar.
